concert!

After reading wanfang's post, i suddenly am inspired to write my entry about today. still cant believe that the concert is over. so fast! in a blink of the eye and its gone. i quite miss rehersal and games and stuff. we should have more of this! the committee worked hard =D

today reached school at 1. met wanghuan and lutheng outside m404. tianyi came a bit later. the small room was totally crammed. struggled to get my bass out. and elaine was sick! so she asked siyuan (i shall be nice and not call him by his full name :P) to come and take her bass. and he agreed! and stupid dennis didnt want. haha. anyway. brought our basses outside m301 and waited the arrival of the key. after putting the case on, took lift downstairs. walked to audi. mrs ho's car was there. then somehow we managed to squeeze a bass, cello, siyuan and elaine plus mrs ho into the car. then after they left the rest of the ensemble left too. me and sipei were left there. we saw mdm mak and sipei shouted good afternoon and we waved(: then mrs ho came back. sipei, being very nice, let me go first! =D=D so byebye sipei and i went to hci in mrs ho's car with my bass.

reached there. called elaine. kenneth the cellist also arrived at the same time. elaine came down to the car park. then he told her "i broke my cello neck!" -_- " then he lead me up. elaine stayed downstairs to wait for sipei. hci really should consider having a lift. the stairs are so shallow and narrow. had a hard time walking up the stairs. when i finally reached the drama centre, realised no nyse person was there. only some hciso people setting up inculding dennis. so i just unzipped elaine and my bass. and realised that my endpin went all the way in. couldnt pluck out. didnt know what to do, so went outside. saw nyse people trooping to the drama centre. found wanghuan and we went down to help elaine carry all our stuff (we left our stuff in mrs ho's car's boot) the me and wanghuan took our stuff all the way to the classroom where everyone put their stuff. got lost. some hciso person took us there. then realised that the classroom was locked. called elaine. then she was saying "si3 man lok chou4 man lok' then saw her walking towards us with manlok. got our stuff in and went back to the drama centre

mr chan was already thery when we went in. hurried. realised that the bass stools that hciso had were too high for me and elaine. so we just stood. play play play. quite xing ku cos my bass was really low. then after mr chan finished rehearsing we made elaine sleep. she slept on two bass cases and hugged one to sleep. mr sze came after quite awhile. while waiting for him me and sipei took a file and cello case respectively and fanned elaine=D mr sze ran through wiren quickly. then hciso rehearsed volkmann and we went to sit in the audience seats. realised that dennis is pro. he could play all the notes in the running passages. melissa was sitting beside me and trying to convince laiwend to come for the concert. she passed me the phone and after the few words, voila! she agreed=D then realised that elaine woke up le and was sitting behind me. then we went to eat dinner. couldnt finish the food. then went back to the classroom. changed my shoes and followed jane to a further toilet to change. then went back to classroom. huifen was spraying this thing and sprayed some on me too. smelt quite nice. then i went to one of the guys toilet to put makeup. wanghuan eunice tianyi and quite alot of people were using it, so it was okay. put make up le, rushed to drama centre for warmup. dennis ordered. took really long to tune and we played g major scale. and practiced the high high part for wiren first movement. saw elaine's mummy. and finally sipei came. then prac prac prac. tiffa called. asked me the way to the drama centre. elaine called yibing and realised that they were already in the audience. haha. then a bit weird weird like that.

then somehow the concert started. we went in. mr chan came out. i think the bartok could have been much much better. we rushed the last movement like mad. then finish. left my handphone on the stand! forgot to take it. then minjun didnt have scores and went backstage going "where's kenneth's bag? where's kenneth's bag?" couldnt find and went out. elaine found. and went out to pass it to him. barefooted. just as mr sze walked out. hciso started playing. we went out using a side door. and was complaing to mrs ho about our playing. and elaine counted the ticket money and realised we sold quite alot of tickets. not bad! then interval. saw xiangjun. then me and elaine went in and saw yibing jodie libing jianxin gwenlyn daisy priscilla yihang. then i saw quinn! haha turned out that his friend was performing. haha. saw tiffa too. and renee! =D=D

second half started. couldnt find scores! and dennis went back to the orch room to get. and he was really late. everyone was waiting for him. my stand didnt have holberg scores. sipei and siyuan's stand didnt have wiren scores. so we just played. i think holberg we rushed really badly. and i played the whole thing by memory leh! not bad, though had some wrong bowings and stuff. at least i could remember. then wiren. okay. luckily i had the scores, or else i wouldnt know how to play the second movement. siyuan shared scores with me. concert ended. so weird! as in we didnt rehearse encore or anything. then the guys started shouting alan's name for a solo. so weird. then mr chan came out to do encore, last 3 movements of bartok. then siyuan was like. i dont know how to play! then elaine said. fake it! and he faked quite well. was staring at my bowings and stuff. not bad not bad (: then over! received flowers from elaine yibing jodie. yibing and jodie loved our presents(: then we took section photo! with the guys, then plus yibing and jodie. hahaha. albert was our cameraman. then we had this debrief kind of thing with mr sze and mr chan. i shared marissa and wanghuan's chairs. then he was talking about us learning new things, making new friends etc. haha. then finished! shook hands with dennis and siyuan. packed bass. gave my flowers chocolate and file to elaine's mummy. and elaine asked her cousin to help her carry the bass. so she helped me. half half. walked all the way. then the room wasnt open! manlok again. opened quite quickly and put our basses in. got out of there. packed my stuff. and went home in elaine's mum's car=D

i really had an enjoyable time during the camp and concert. though there were some hiccups here and there, it was nevertheless quite fun. made new friends! a bit sad that its over so soon. nvm! we should have more of these camps next time(:


okay its 1.30am. im supposed to wake up at 5.30am tmr. council camp! oh man. feeling abit apprehensive about it. hope i dont screw my cheers up. or anything else. SHIT i just realised i havent memorised the council pledge. byebye!
